On December 24, experts discussed the changing climate agenda and how russian companies are responding to them, given the changing business environment, at the Yura restaurant on Strastnoy Boulevard.

At the "Net Zero: Reset" business breakfast, organized by the Climate Partnership of Russia, it was reported that 34% of 850 companies in 50 climate-responsibility leaders have revised their climate targets. For Russian businesses, the situation is complicated by a lack of access to certain technologies and financing, as well as a breakdown in cooperation.

ALROSA plans to revise its plans in 2026, while RUSAL's Board of Directors has already approved an updated climate strategy in 2025, based on previous work results, customer demands, and the current situation. While some argue that this agenda should be postponed for several years, experts acknowledged that Russian businesses, despite sanctions, isolation, and a lack of regulatory support, continue to pursue climate goals, but relying on real opportunities, technologies, and customer demands.
