On November 24, the Russian Climate Partnership (RCP) held its meeting, "COP30: Expectations and Results." The event was organized with the participation of the Global Compact National Network and ALROSA.

Experts discussed the key tracks and features of the recent Conference of the Parties and how COP discussions on adaptation, financing, climate investment, and energy sources could impact the global climate agenda. There are growing questions about how replacing fossil fuels with more sustainable alternatives impacts the environment and biodiversity, and what the potential side effects might be. An interesting topic is the two-pronged use of artificial intelligence on the agenda: on the one hand, the need for efficient processing of growing databases; on the other, growing energy consumption and high heat output, which generates new emissions.
