The Community noted the contribution of the Russian Climate Partnership

In the 10th anniversary of the Russian Climate Partnership, a presentation was organized on a study examining trends and drivers of the climate agenda in the country (https://climatepartners.ru/news/yubiley-rossiyskogo-partnerstva-za-sokhranenie-klimata-10-let-v-inte...), as well as its importance in the strategies of Russian companies. The study was conducted with the participation of the Data Lab research agency, part of the AGT Communications Group. More than 90 representatives fr om business, science, and government participated in the public presentation of the project, which took place at the VEB Center in Moscow.

As Olga SANAROVA, Partnership Coordinator, noted at the anniversary event, congratulatory messages were sent to the organization.

In particular, Ruslan EDELGERIEV, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation, noted: "Over the past decade, the Partnership has become an expert platform that has united the efforts of representatives of business, government, and the scientific and expert communities. Modern challenges require not only strategic thinking but also the ability to pool our efforts. The development of climate initiatives and the implementation of low-carbon economy projects are impossible without a strong partnership between the state and business. Only joint action allows us to develop and implement effective solutions that can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote the environmentally and economically sustainable development of our country."

Oksana Gogunskaya, CEO of JSC Kontur (the Russian registry of carbon units), emphasized in her congratulatory letter that "the Partnership not only addresses problems but also proposes actionable initiatives." Specifically, these include "expert initiatives that bring together the country's best minds" and "practical cases for reducing anthropogenic impacts." Furthermore, Oksana Gogunskaya expressed confidence that "the partnership will expand collaboration across sectors and inspire companies to pursue ambitious environmental strategies."

Natalia Dorpeko, Executive Director of the UN Global Compact National Network, noted that the partnership encompasses the interests of all regions of the country and is a unique platform for the climate agenda. Among the partnership's practical achievements, she noted its contribution to the promotion and development of new climate projects (wetlands). "The Partnership's activities and projects have significant reputational significance in recognizing the Russian Federation's contribution to addressing global and national climate challenges," Natalia Dorpeko noted in her letter.

At the anniversary event, Rosleskhoz also awarded certificates to RUSAL employees for implementing a forest climate project in Krasnoyarsk Krai. As a reminder, the Partnership previously held a roundtable (https://climatepartners.ru/news/na-delovom-zavtrake-rossiyskogo-partnerstva-za-sokhranenie-klimata-o...) on natural climate projects, where experts discussed the prospects and limitations of their implementation in Russia.
