The Russian Climate Partnership took part in the Carbon Digital Conference (CDC) 2025 in Indonesia
On December 9, 2025, the Carbon Digital Conference (CDC) 2025, a key annual event organized by the Indonesian Carbon Trading Association (IDCTA), was held at the Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB, Indonesia). The conference brought together business leaders, policymakers, experts, innovators, and youth from around the world to advance the transition to a sustainable, low-carbon economy.
On behalf of the Russian Climate Partnership, Anna Nakleskina, representing RUSAL, a member of the Partnership, opened the panel discussion "Carbon Markets: From Policy to Practice." Speakers from the Indonesian Carbon Trading Association (IDCTA), the ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD), the World Bank, and other experts from companies and regulatory bodies in BRICS and Southeast Asia also participated.
In her speech, Anna Nakleskina emphasized the growing importance of the climate agenda in Russia and its potential for international cooperation: "Our Partnership unites those who see climate change not only as a challenge but also as an opportunity—for business, for our country and regions, and for international cooperation. Today, 84 climate projects have already been registered in Russia, most of them technological. This isn't theory—it's real practice, which we are ready to share."
She also noted the importance of establishing dialogue between countries of the Global South, including the development of common approaches to carbon markets and green finance within BRICS.
